CTR: cut the ring

I wanted a CTR ring for a long time before I finally bought myself one. I went to the bookstore looking at rings several times. The one I wanted was hiding the first several times I went, but eventually I found it.
The next day I wore my ring to work, and although I was very very busy at work, I decided to start playing with my ring. I spun the spinney part and pulled it on and off my finger. Then I decided to try it on other fingers. (SPOILER: that was the part that went very very wrong) I slid the ring onto my middle finger, and it was tricky, but somehow I wedged it on there. Rings aren't meant to be squished on fingers where they don't belong.  I tried to pull the ring off, but it I couldn't get it off. I decided it was best to not freak out, but just wait a while then try again. That was another bad idea. The ring was cutting off circulation in my finger and my finger was swelling up. I had Chris watch my channel while I went to the bathroom to try and get it off. I still couldn't get that ring off of my finger.

I went back in and asked the guys working if they knew of any way to get the ring off of my finger. Cade told me that I would probably have to cut off my finger. But Chris and Jacob gave me some suggestions, so I tried several more things including multiple trips to the bathroom. Then my boss George arrived and Jacob told him that I had a ring stuck on my finger. George is an expert on lots of random things like this so he took a look and gave me a list of things to try. Lots of those things were repeats but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try them again. When all his ideas didn't work, he started calling other random people who worked at BYU Broadcasting to see if they had ideas or the supplies he needed to try his various attempts to remove the ring. Nothing worked to get that ring off of my finger. George called in some of the guys from IT to ask them if they had a tool that could cut the ring off of my finger. He called Diana the receptionist because he figured that she probably wears rings and has therefore been in this situation before.

So at this point here are some of the things I have tried:
-pulling off the ring
-water
-soap
-lotion
-tape (to compress my swelling finger)
-dental floss (to compress my finger)
-ice
-elevation
-time

My solution to this whole thing was to have my Dad take me to a jewelers to get my ring cut off, but that was only if I couldn't get it off without breaking it. However, I couldn't get it off, so after work my dad took me to get my ring cut off.

I had that CTR ring for a very short time, but I got a replacement for Christmas. Hopefully this one lasts a bit longer before I have to get it cut off.
