California Dreamin'

I will be entering the MTC on Wednesday, so I thought I would do a little blogging before I left (since I blog so much as it is). What better topic could I choose than CALIFORNIA? The best state, and the one I will be heading to shortly...

Here are some fun facts:

• It is home to the highest and lowest points in the continental United States
  
    
• One eighth of U.S. Citizens live in California

• The State of California has the 7th largest economy in the World when compared to other countries

• Gold Rush: 1849

• 1st State to legalize medical marijuana

And about San Jose specifically:

• The first city established in California (1777)

• The original state capital

• One of the safest big cities in America

• Recycles a greater percentage of its waste than any other large American city.

• Silicon Valley

Silly things that I am excited for:

• 300 days of sunny weather annually, with an average daily high of 73°F

• Produce.... Avocado, grapes, almonds, lettuce, strawberries, tomatoes, etc. 

• I will be a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Boo ya!
